Provisions Relating to Payment of Fees

Article 1 Platform Service Fee

1. Host shall pay the Operator a fee for each successful Match (the "Platform Service Fee").

2. The Platform Service Fee payable by the Host shall be an amount equal to eight percent (8%) of the Homestay Fee as defined in the BeFam Terms of Service. The Host shall pay this fee to the Operator.

Article 2 Homestay Fee

1. Unless otherwise agreed, the Guest shall pay the Homestay Fee directly to the Host on the first day of the stay.

2. The amount payable under the preceding paragraph shall be the balance remaining after deduction of the Deposit referred to in Article 3.

Article 3 Deposit

1. At the same time as payment of the Platform Service Fee, the Guest must remit to the Operator, as a Deposit, twenty per cent (20%) of the Homestay Fee.

2. The Operator holds the Deposit as security for any cancellation fee payable by the Guest for breach of the Cancellation Policy.

3. When the Guest makes the payment referred to in Article 2 paragraph 1, the Operator must remit the Deposit to the Host without undue delay.

Article 4 Host's Remuneration

1. As part of the Homestay information, the Host may set and display a Homestay Fee within the range of AUD 250 to AUD 420 and, upon each successful Match, may require the Guest to pay that fee.

2. The Homestay Fee set by the Host shall include the Deposit payable by the Guest and the Platform Service Fee payable by the Host. The Host shall be entitled to receive, as remuneration, the balance remaining after deduction of these amounts.

Article 5 Default in Payment

If a User fails to pay any fee or charge stipulated in these Terms by the due date, the Operator may suspend the User's access to the Service until confirmation of full payment is received.

Article 6 Fee Structure Details

1. Host Family Remuneration Calculation:

• Set Homestay Fee: AUD 250 - AUD 420

• Platform Service Fee: 8%

• Guest Deposit: 20%

• Host Family Receipt Amount: Set Fee - Platform Service Fee - Guest Deposit

2. Payment Schedule:

• Payment to Host Family within the period determined by the Operator after the Guest's stay ends.

• Payment method is by bank transfer or other method determined by the Operator.

Article 7 Fee Processing for Cancellations

1. Guest Cancellation:

• Cancellation after 14 days: Guest pays 12% penalty to Host and 8% to Operator.

• Deposit may be used for penalty payment.

2. Host Cancellation:

• Cancellation after 14 days: Host pays 12% penalty to Guest and 8% to Operator.

Article 8 Fee-Related Complaint Handling

1. For complaints or disputes regarding fees, please contact the Operator.

2. The Operator will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

3. If there are errors in fee calculations, the Operator will promptly correct and handle appropriately.

Article 9 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All matters relating to these provisions shall be governed by Japanese law.

Disputes relating to these provisions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo Summary Court or Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
