Provisions Relating to Payment of Fees

Provisions Relating to Payment of Fees

Article 1 Platform Service Fee

1. The Host shall pay the Operator, for each successful Match, a platform service fee (the "Platform Service Fee").

2. The Platform Service Fee shall be an amount equal to eight percent (8%) of the Homestay Fee.

Article 2 Homestay Fee

1. Unless otherwise agreed, the Guest shall pay the Homestay Fee directly to the Host within two (2) days from the first day of the Stay.

2. The amount payable under the preceding paragraph shall be the balance of the Homestay Fee remaining after deduction of the Deposit referred to in Article 3.

3. Where the Stay Period exceeds twenty-eight (28) days, the Guest shall pay the balance referred to in the preceding paragraph in instalments by periods of twenty-eight (28) days counted from the Start Date of the Stay, and shall pay the Homestay Fee for each such period within two (2) days from the first day of that period.

4. Even if the Host suffers any damage as a result of the Guest's failure to pay the Homestay Fee, the Operator shall not be liable therefor.

Article 3 Deposit

1. At the same time as payment by the Guest to the Operator of the fee payable for the formation of a Match (the "Platform Fee"), the Guest shall pay to the Operator, as a deposit, fifteen percent (15%) of the Homestay Fee (the "Deposit").

2. The Deposit shall be held and applied as a reserve for cancellation and similar events and shall be applied toward the Operator's support costs.

3. Of the Deposit, an amount equivalent to seven percent (7%) of the Homestay Fee (the "Host Portion") shall, subject to satisfaction of the conditions separately prescribed by the Operator, be remitted to the Host.

4. Where the Host receives from the Guest the Homestay Fee for a Payment Period (as set forth in Article 2(3)) (i.e., the balance after deduction of the Deposit), the Host shall, without delay, notify the Operator of such receipt, including the date of receipt and the amount received.

5. When the Operator confirms, through the notification set forth in the preceding paragraph or other reasonable means, that payment of the Homestay Fee for the relevant Payment Period has been duly completed, the Operator shall display the Host Portion relating to that Payment Period in the Host's Wallet as an "Amount Scheduled for Transfer".

6. The display under the preceding paragraph does not constitute a guarantee of transfer. Where there are reasonable grounds, including refunds, set-off, disputes, or other matters, the Operator may adjust the displayed amount or withhold the transfer.

7. Where, for reasons attributable to the Guest, the Stay is cancelled prior to the Start Date of the Stay, then, notwithstanding paragraphs 3 to 5, an amount equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the Homestay Fee shall be the Host Portion. In such case, the Platform Service Fee payable by the Host shall be an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Homestay Fee.

8. The Host may, at any time, submit to the Operator a payout request in respect of any Amount Scheduled for Transfer displayed in the Wallet. The Operator shall remit the requested amount to the bank account registered by the Host no later than the last day of the month following the month in which such request is made.

Article 4 Host's Remuneration

1. As part of the Homestay information, the Host may set and display a Homestay Fee within the range of AUD 250 to AUD 420 and, upon each successful Match, may require the Guest to pay that fee.

2. The Homestay Fee set by the Host shall include the Deposit payable by the Guest and the Platform Service Fee payable by the Host. The Host shall be entitled to receive, as remuneration, the balance remaining after deduction of these amounts.

Article 5 Fees and other Charges

1. Any transfer fees, currency conversion fees, and other similar costs (including intermediary bank fees) incurred in connection with a bank transfer shall be borne by the party who makes such transfer.

2. Where it becomes necessary to calculate any amount on a pro-rata basis, if the calculation results in a fraction of less than AUD 1 or JPY 1, such fraction shall be rounded up to the nearest AUD 1 or JPY 1, as applicable.

Article 6 Default in Payment

If a User fails to pay any fee or charge stipulated in these Terms by the due date, the Operator may suspend the User's access to the Service until confirmation of full payment is received.
